"After the Teek video came out, Panhellenic was scared greek life would get canceled bc of recent events at Harvard. So when the NAACP decided to march on Milledge they sat us down in chapter and told us we weren’t allowed to talk about the march so it wouldn’t gain attention (they feared it would bring heat on greek life and get it shut down at UGA). Since we signed a legally binding doc saying we couldn’t talk about things discussed outside of chapter, there could be legal ramifications for breaking the silence. They also told us to “do what we believe in” but if we went to the march we couldn’t wear our letters or say we were in a srat. Apparently every chapter was doing this at UGA, not just ours."
