"During 2015 sorority rush i specifically remember a black woman coming through recruitment and the morning before she was scheduled to come a few girls in our sorority mentioned that there's no way that we could have a black girl in our sorority - that her family would never speak to her again if she let a black girl in her sorority. sadly, the sorority cut her that day given the racism that was (not even) behind the scenes. Also, many members of greek life participated in Old South, an event that glamorized a time where slaves were acceptable and white supremacy prevailed. I heard that they even had black people serve as the waiters for that event. Constant, constant, talk of racism in the sorority/fraternity system at the University of Georgia."
